INDIANAPOLIS -- Patriots rookie T Nate Solder passed his patriotism test -- with flying colors -- at Super Bowl media day Tuesday.

"We want to see if you are a true pat...riot," said TV correspondent Karim Mendiburu of Telemundo Sports of Mexico.

Mendiburu, wearing a Minute Man style hat similar to the one on the New England logo, fired off a series of questions. Solder got them all right on such topics as how many stars the flag has (50), how many stripes (13) and who had the largest signature on the Declaration of Independence (John Hancock).

Then Solder was asked a tougher one: "Who was the first Secretary of the Treasury?"

"Alexander Hamilton," Solder said.

Bingo.

"Bro, you're going to win the Super Bowl. You're very patriotic," Mendiburu said.

Later, for the Giants' session, Mendiburu turned into a salsa instructor. He was inspired by salsa-dancing Giants WR Victor Cruz.

Giants C Jim Cordle was willing to give it a try. To loud salsa music, he danced with Vanessa McClure of Fox 59 News in Indianapolis.

"I'm feeling it," Cordle said as he got his hips moving.

Mendiburu said Cordle, too, passed the test: "That was awesome."
